The Sherwood Park Manor Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Sherwood Park Manor. Managed by a dedicated Board of Directors composed of volunteers with diverse professional expertise, our primary mission is to provide essential financial support to the Manor. This support is achieved through active fundraising initiatives and the diligent management of the Fulford-Hardy Endowment fund.

While Sherwood Park Manor receives its core funding for resident care from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Foundation serves as a vital secondary source of discretionary funding. We work in close collaboration with the Manor to ensure it remains a premier, full-service home where resident autonomy, choice, and safety are prioritized. By overseeing fundraising operations and optimizing investment returns, the Foundation helps bridge the gap between basic care and the exceptional environment our community deserves.

 

Our commitment to the Manor is rooted in a rich history, dating back to 2001 when we first stepped in to support residents transitioning from the Fulford Home. Today, we continue that legacy by managing restricted and non-restricted investments to provide a stable financial future for the home. Through our shared goals and integrated leadership, the Foundation ensures that every donation and investment directly contributes to the continued success and compassionate care provided at Sherwood Park Manor.
