Redevelopment and Expansion of Sherwood Park Manor
After 50 years of excellent care in our community, Sherwood Park is looking ahead to another 50 years: our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors. Through their work and dedication, it has grown and evolved, becoming a highly respected Long-Term care facility while keeping its unique historic charm and feeling. It’s a place we can all be proud of.
But time marches on, and those same seniors who have made Sherwood Park Manor what it is today, need our help. More beds in Long-Term Care are needed, and those we already have need to be updated. Our facility must be enhanced to meet the standards Sherwood Park Manor represents with quality of life for our seniors.
Our vision of a new Sherwood Park Manor is one that is more than just a facility: we envision a true community. Connected to downtown Brockville by local public transit, Sherwood Park Manor is well-positioned to offer commercial services alongside housing, both of which are designed to serve our senior community. We dream of a new “campus of care” model that will inspire other long-term care services across the province.
Our new facility will meet and exceed all modern building standards. The building will be “pandemic proofed” using distinct ventilation systems to prevent large outbreaks throughout the facility. This will allow families and Sherwood Park Manor volunteers to safely enter our facilities to visit their loved ones.
