ADMINISTRATOR Mr. Shawn Souder is a Brockville native who brings to the job a wealth of experience in the health care system. He has served in various administrative capacities at the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital between 1999 and 2005, holding such positions as Program Manager, Assistant Administrator (Clinical Care), and Administrative Director of the Secure Treatment Unit. Most recently, he was employed by the Providence Continuing Care Centre (now called Providence Care) in Kingston, where he was Team and Venture Manager of the Geriatric Psychiatry Program. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons. Sociology) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Social Work degree from Carleton University. Earlier in his career, he was a professional social worker providing a variety of social work services to both inpatients and outpatients at the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital. He is also active in a number of Provincial and local volunteer organizations, including being President and Board Member of both the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Alzheimer Society of Leeds and Grenville. Most of the Administrative Staff have worked together as a team for many years. Nancy has been here since the Manor opened, and Cathy came 20 years ago. Judy and Linda have each been serving our residents for more than17 years, and Dan for 10. Dorothy Culhane came in 2003 replacing Karlene McDonald, after 28 years of service, as Director of Nursing. All are experienced, well qualified, and excel at providing the highest standard of personalized care.
